Baby Shower Prep

Standard

I wish I could show you everything that I’ve been working on but my son & daughter-in-law follow my blog.  We’ve set the date for the baby shower – Saturday, April 12th so until then I won’t be posting much about it because I want Tara to be surprised.  But I couldn’t take how cute this little chalkboard sign is  . . . Hobby Lobby . . . I love to either re-purpose something I already have or change up something I’ve bought to make it exactly what I want and spray paint is a girl’s best friend (well technically, diamonds are a girl’s best friend but until then power tools & spray paint work!! LOL) I bought this on sale at Hobbs – 50% off was just $5 and I already had the spray paint and tulle! So cute, can’t tell you what it’s for though.  I have another baby shower tidbit I’ll post later in the week.  😉

Wow Me Wednesday (Thursday)

Standard

I got a little caught up yesterday with my brother being on TV, lol.  So I’m doing “Wow Me Wednesday” today and it is delicious!! I never said these recipes would be non-fattening . . . but I’m telling you this is sooooo good (room temp or cold) and so easy!!! I only made half of this and it fit perfectly in an 8×8 glass dish.  Enjoy!!

  • Unroll second can of dough. Carefully place on top of cream cheese layer. Pinch seams together.

“Game of Arms” Tonight

Standard

randy

So, I realize this post looks a little crazy . . . not my regular stuff, lol . . . but I told my brother I’d let you all know about this new show that starts tonight.  If you’ve read some of my older posts you’ll know my brother does NOT look like these crazy guys – he is THAT tuff but looks more like Sam Elliot . . . anywhoo he belongs to the California Armbenders group who will be a part of this new series about Arm Wrestling.  Randy, my brother holds the arm wrestling title in his weight division.  Tonight’s episode follows the group in Sacrament California, a mechanic, a grocery bagger, a preacher and more . . . should be interesting!!

Wow Me Wednesday . . .

Standard

This week’s post is from Pinterest.  I pinned this awhile back and made it over the weekend.  Amie came by for dinner on Sunday and I had some frozen corn.  So crazy simple and it was really good.  Just take a frozen bag of corn and coat with olive oil, salt & pepper.  I added the oil, salt & pepper in the bowl, then drizzled again with oil on the baking sheet and added more salt & pepper.  Broil for 5 minutes – that’s it!!! Grammy mode . . .

I’m telling you this little girl is going to cause me to get a second job & she isn’t even here yet!!!  I just have to stay away from the baby department in EVERY store I walk into and it doesn’t make any difference what store it is.  If there is a baby department (even at the grocery store) I just need to “check it out”.   It seems I end up walking out with something that I just MUST have, lol!!  I cannot take how cute these little booties are!!!! Found these at Target . . .booties
