I absolutely loveeeeee this show and I’m sooooo sad this is it’s last season! The cast is wonderful and they touch on regular family dynamics. It’s engaging, makes you laugh, makes you cry and sometimes makes you think! Anddddd this backyard picture . . . yeah, that’s my dream in my farmhouse backyard!! Well one of my dreams for my farmhouse! 😉

My New Rooster Plates!
I went down to the “Springs” this weekend to see Amie & Matthew. Diane (Matthew’s mom) invited us to go with her & her mom to the “Chef’s” warehouse sale. Chef’s does this sale twice a year & it’s just like a “Black Friday” sale. Everyone lines up outside until it opens. This was my second time & you never know what bargains await you!! LOL I found these “Paula Deen” salad plates and I love them!!! Just $1 each!!! And I already had the brownish plates – tooo cute & sooooo perfect for my future farmhouse!!!
Happy Fall Y’all
Wow Me Wednesday!
Ok, this could NOT be simpler!! Seriously!!
Crock Pot Pork Roast
1 boneless pork roast 1 can cola (your choice) 1/2 bottle BBQ sauce (your choice) Lawry’s Season Salt Rub your entire roast with Lawry’s, place in crockpot, add 1 can cola, add 1/2 bottle BBQ sauce, cover & cook on low for 4-6 hours (I did 6 hours). Pull apart and place back in crockpot for about 30 minutes to soak up the juice. Serve along side some yummy mashed potatoes or make pulled pork sandwiches!!! Enjoy 😉Great Weekend with Family!!
Good Laugh . . . Happy Friday!!
First Sleepover!
I had my granddaughter over for her first sleepover Saturday night. It was Tara’s birthday and her & Jason’s 2nd Wedding Anniversary. Baby Belle was perfect, she slept well and ate well!! Grammy was very happy & a bit tired – had to take a nap before the Bronco game yesterday! 😉
Good Laugh . . . Happy Friday!
Wow Me Wednesday
Homemade Marinara! I was going through some stuff last weekend and came across this recipe that I had written down on a note pad and decided to give it a try. Turned out pretty yummy and ANY excuse to use my immersion blender works for me! 😉
1 small diced onion 3 cloves minced garlic 2 large cans crushed tomatoes 1 cup red wine 2 teaspoons sugar salt & pepper Saute onion & garlic with a little olive oil. Add wine & simmer about 20 minutes. Add tomatoes, salt & pepper. Simmer at least 30 min. I prefer “smooth” marinara so I pulled out the immersion blender! Yummmm This made almost 2 quarts (mason jars). I put one in the freezer and one in the fridge. If you store it in the fridge upside down it will help prevent mold collecting on the lid (pinterest tip).House Hunting
Why is house hunting such a stressful process???? I need Chip & JoJo!!! I’ve been looking for a new place for a year now . . . remember that cute little yellow farmhouse? Yes, it’s been a year! Any who, I’ve seen several homes/fixer uppers over the last year and they’ve all had their issues. I can remember buying the home I’m in now and I love my home but I do remember the process and it just sucks the life out of you! Seems like it should be a happy thing looking for a place to start your next chapter in life. I imagine it’d be easier to just find a regular cookie cutter home but I don’t want a cookie cutter home. Sooooo I guess I’ll just press on, one day at a time!! Just help me remember to breathe!! 😉
