My garden beds are ready for winter. It’s been so unseasonably warm here all October through November, suppose to be 78 degrees today. Warm or not my trees have lost their leaves. I love the very old trees on my property but with old trees comes a ton of leaves!! I’d read on pinterest that you can use your leaves as mulch for your garden as long as they are chopped up not whole. The whole leaves will just mildew with moisture but the ground up leaves will release the nutrients as they compost into the dirt. So I got my leaf blower/sucker upper out this week and cleaned up the yard. Then I dumped all the ground up leaves onto the top of my garden beds. Ready for winter!!
