Soooo, back in February I posted about the “Distressed Deer Plaque” I found at Kirland’s. I can finally show you my finished wall collage – hey, I’ve been a bit busy andddddd I was waiting for the last piece to arrive – thank you Sherry!! She made me the sign on the top left side that says, “She believed she could, so she did”. I love it! Last year when I was dreaming about the little farmhouse (before I bought it) we saw this quote on Pinterest and she told me that when I found my farmhouse she’d make me that sign and she did. The water color of the little man on the bench was painted by a friend of mine, thank you Nina, from a photo I took in Italy, the painting of the trees and stream was painted by my son back in 1999 and the photo of the windmill I took in Kansas a few years ago. I love this wall – along with some family photos it reminds me of some special times in my life. 😉

The Pioneer Woman Collection
The Pioneer Woman/Ree Drummond has launched her new collection of kitchen stuff!! Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Her “Flea Market” pieces are my favorite!! Amie & Jason . . . my birthday is coming up, Christmas is coming up . . . . just sayin’!!! Ree’s collection is sold at walmart.com with merchandise coming into stores mid September! Seriously I want the Flea Market Butter Dish (so stickin’ cute), the Flea Market Pitcher and oh my gosh, the bowls are adorable. I think I’ll need to have some glass cabinet doors in the kitchen to show off all my “pretties”. LOL

Chicken Sittin’
My neighbors across the street went away for the weekend and asked me to keep an eye on the “girls”. She (Shelley) told me it would be really easy, just make sure they have water and feed and if I wanted to be their bestie, give them some “scratch”. I’d like to have a few chickens of my own some day so I thought this was a good opportunity to break me in, lol and seriously who would pass up some “free” just laid “cage-free” eggs! The girls behaved themselves, except for a couple of them that kept getting out over the fence but when I got out the “scratch” they all came running – so cute! 😉
1st Batch!
It’s Palisade Peach time in Colorado, which means it’s time for “Peach Jam”! Peaches from Palisade, Colorado are the best, so sweet and delicious. This is my first batch made from City Girl Farms 😉 I always use the recipe for “cooked jam” from inside the Certo Liquid Pectin Box. Super simple and works like a charm.
