So the shower in the guest bathroom wasn’t working – water was just dribbling out of the shower head. I was hoping it just needed a new tub spout and new diverter . . . WRONG!
Besides the sheet rock under the panel being bad around the faucets – the whole shower fixture needed to be replaced!
New copper piping, new fittings, new fixure – woohoooo – not how I thought I was going to spend my weekend, lol.
But all done! So no worries if you coming to visit!! It’s not pretty (yet) but it works! 😉
I want to give a shout out to my daughter-in-law, Tara for making the soaps for our “thank you” favors for Amie’s baby shower. She did 5 different colors and 5 different scents! They were beautiful and smelled wonderful!! I bought thank you cards (Joann’s) and cut the cover of the card to fit into those cellophane bags you can get in the baking section at Joann’s. Then I made the tag cards using a “business card” format on the computer and just tied them to the bags. You have to check out her website!!!! The cake is by “Cakes by Karen” in Northglenn. It was yummy!! Amie wanted strawberry cake and it had Bavarian cream inside with buttercream frosting.
I found these hanging metal shelves on decorsteals.com – love them! There are actually 2 of them – one is on the other side.
This was our “thank you for coming” table – it’s hard to tell but the flower wreath has fairy lights in it.
The basket is filled with homemade soaps by my daughter-in-law (more on those later), they were thank you favors for the guests.
This is actually Amie’s bike – I filled the basket with hydrangeas and made the welcome sign. We had it on the porch as guests arrived.

Amie’s baby shower was Saturday and we had some delicious food – quiche, fruit, chocolate croissants, sausage rolls, potato casserole and lemon cheesecake croissants. YUM

I bought this wood slab at Joann’s along with these 4 wood furniture feet. The balls are flat on one end so I used wood glue to attach them to the bottom of the slab and used this left over stain to stain them.
I’ll use it for other things but made it for the baby shower.
Can’t wait to use it! Maybe for the champagne glasses?
My car was loaded this weekend (2nd trip) with baby shower stuff. The shower is next weekend and little Miss Ellie Grayce will be here in just a couple of months!! So much F.U.N.!
