One of my friends in Cali & I love to dress up our “Coffee Bar”.  This pic is from Christmas.  We’ve starting joking about having a competition so I thought I’d invite you all to join in on the fun.  Whether you have a “Coffee Bar”, coffee area or coffee pot (lol) why not take a little time to dress it up!  So here is the challenge – the theme is “EASTER” and you have until March 18th to send me your “Coffee Bar” pic – send to: cottagecharms@msn.com.  I’ll post all the pics the week of March 21st and announce the winner on Thursday, March 24th.  There is no prize other than a big fat Congrats!! I had the girls over last Friday.  Our “first” girl’s night at the farmhouse.  We had some yummy Chicken Tortilla Soup that I made (recipe coming tomorrow), yummy salad that Pat made, yummy desserts that Mia & Donna made, some fabulous homemade red wine that Maurene made and we played LCR – very fun night!

We had a staff event yesterday for Christmas at “Topgolf”.  What a blast!  So much fun & good food.  If you have a chance to check them out you should.  You don’t even have to be a “golfer”, it’s all based on points.  They have “bays” that you golf from (6 people to a bay), they have clubs and balls so you just have to show up and have fun.  It’s down in Centennial.  I want to take the kids!

A good friend of mine “Sue” is expecting her first grandbaby – it’s a boy!  Her son & daughter-in-law are expecting their little bundle of joy in October.  I was invited to the baby shower last month and I was so excited to see their house because April (daugther-in-law) is crazy design talented!  You should have seen it, her and Chris have done a great job!  I should have taken pics but I was too busy picking my jaw up off the ground.   Sue sent me this pic of the nursery wall.  Chris & April taped this design down and then painted it – it is insane the amount of time it must of taken.  It looks fantastic and I wanted to share it with you.  Kuddos to Chris & April and I can’t wait to meet the little guy!

Amie was “Maid of Honor” in one of her besties weddings this weekend.  We were up at the Sunspot Lodge in Winter Park for Laura & Travis’ wedding and it was beautiful.  Wedding was outside on the deck and the reception was inside the Lodge.  We had to take the ski lift to get up there! Gorgeous views!!

I have a couple of girlfriends, Annette & Bonnie, that I get together with once a month.  We have a standing dinner date the last Tuesday of every month and I’ve known them for over 15 years! This last Tuesday night Annette cooked pasta for us and it was delicious! She makes her own sauce and it was soooo good! So anywho,  she had been given a new light fixture for her formal dinning room and had taken down her old chandelier and stuck it in a box in her garage and now it’s on my family room floor!!!! Oh my gosh!! I love it!!! She wanted to “pay it forward” so she gifted it to me!!  It will be the first project in my new farmhouse and I’ll have to decide to hang it over my farmhouse table, the guest room or my claw foot tub!! LOL (no I haven’t found it YET and no I don’t have a claw foot tub! but still looking)  Thanks Annette!!!!!!!!!! 😉
