Two Things Today

Standard

First, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  This is an Ode to my Grandma Weaver.  I can remember when my kids where little we were celebrating St. Patty’s Day telling them I was sure we probably had some “Irish” in us, (doesn’t everybody) when I remembered – wholly toledo, we TOTALLY have Irish in us cause my Grandma Weaver’s maiden name was “Kilpatrick”!!!  You don’t get much more Irish than that, right?!?!  I found this pic on Pinterest and though it’s not my Grandma Weaver – it totally could be because she looks JUST like my Grandma- hair pulled back, her glasses & apron!  We’re all Irish today! 😉

Second, if you are interested in my “Coffee Bar” challenge, I need your pics by noon tomorrow.  I’d like to post them all tomorrow afternoon.  Thanks everyone!!

The Ducks Have Arrived!

Standard

Jason & Tara surprised the kids this morning.  Owen thought he was going to school but they went to the Post Office instead.  He gets to stay home today and take care of the new additions to Runamuck Ranch!  The ducklings are born and shipped within 48 hours.  They arrived at the Post Office last night and were well taken care of until the kid’s could pick them up at 8am this morning.  There are 6 in total and these two are Finn (the yellow one) and Jake (the darker one).  Can’t wait to meet them all in person!  I love how big my family is getting, lol.

I was out at Jason & Tara’s last Friday and got a few pics of the family and their place.  I need to get pics of their property but it was getting too dark.  They have 12 acres, have a large barn and loafing shed ANDDD they grow they’re own hay.  They named their property “Run-a-muck Ranch”, lol.   Jason just added the goat’s playground last week.  He put up the fencing between the barn and the loafing shed, added those spools and built that cool bridge!  I love going out there to see what’s new cause they’re always something! LOL

I found these cute little boots for Belley Girl and had to buy them!!  She is such a cutie & loves her new boots!  The fence she’s hanging on in the last pic is the fence Jason built in the loafing shed for the goats (actually for the ducks that are coming, but the goats came first).  I love the metal and wood together – great job Jason!

Dale & Brennan!  Jason & Tara have added to their little family.  Dale & Brennan are almost 3 months old and are dwarf male goats.  They’ll be some weed-eating machines for sure.  Belle loves feeding them animal crackers.  Jason built that little hay feeder that they decided to use as a bed.  So cute!

Happy 27th Birthday!

My daughter was up from the “Springs” this weekend.  We had a great dinner with family (forgot to get those pics!!) Celebrated her best friend’s daughter’s 1st Birthday and got some shopping in!  Love you Amie xoxo

Congrats to Amie & Matthew

Standard

One of the reasons I took vacation last week was to help my daughter out with their new home!  Amie & Matthew  – I’m so happy for them!  It’s a great house on 1/2 acre.  We painted allllll weekend, got some boxes moved and unpacked and got to hang out with Diane & Brian (Matthew’s parents).  Jason came down and surprised Amie on Friday, it was perfect!  He helped paint and hung up one of her new outdoor lights.  My plan was to come home Monday to get ready for guests (my Texas Bestie, Robin & her husband Bob) and to work on my closet.  Well that’s not what happened.  The picture on the left was taken Friday, the picture on the right was taken Monday – when I’d planned on leaving.  We shoveled about a foot of snow and the roads were horrible but we made it back to the old house, so I thought I’d leave on Tuesday.  NOPE!  It snowed all day Tuesday, another 8-10″ so we just spent the day packing up more stuff.  I ended up leaving Wednesday morning, Bob & Robin were coming in from Texas Wednesday night, and when I got home I got to shovel my own 10″ of snow! Yay, lucky me, lol.
