This is the entrance to my “pumpkin patch” – this year, no pumpkins just weeds, lol.  There was a bunch of random flagstone pieces in the backyard when I bought the house.  I can’t even tell you how many times I had moved them around the backyard.  This section I did a couple years ago has been bugging me. Time to center it, border it and repaint it.

Everytime it rains the bark ends up on the concrete.  I had some old fence pickets sitting around so I cut them up to use as a border.  Leveled the dirt out a bit, added play sand and put the stones back in.

Now, to finish the border, rebark and repaint the fence!

1st, look beyond the very poorly watered grass and check out the fence.  So, I have a neighbor who’s a hoarder.  For reals!  They actually don’t even live in the house on the other side of this fence, they live about 30 minutes away.  They think I turned them into the county but I didn’t.  So one of the many things he’s hoarded is fence sections, I had no idea, lol. Because he “thinks” I turned him in, he started trimming all of his trees and jammed these fence sections up so I couldn’t see his yard, LOL!  Good news is . . . I have a new fence!

I’m telling you between having a horrible cold for 3 weeks and it raining . . . I was finally able to plant some flowers.  My Daylily is doing fantastic, so I bought a couple more.  It’s coming together!

My kids have been giving me a hard time, forever, over my 37″ TV.   Welllllll no more!  My son-in-law saw this awesome deal on one of Sam’s Clubs “One Day Only deals!”  Vizio (which is what I wanted) 50″ HD and Internet TV for only $250!!!  I couldn’t say no . . . and I gotta say – it IS really nice, lol.

Sooo, after 17 years with Crossroads – I’ve started a new job!  Sturgeon Electric is over 100 years old and a very recognized company throughout the U.S.  I started last week and my brain cells have never been so stretched!! LOL  I’m training to be a Lineman! LOL Just kidding . . . I’m the new Equipment Admin for the Line Division.  Oh my word, I had no idea how extensive the position was . . . it is totally exciting and energizing for sure!  I’ve been training all week and much more to come – I’ve slept like a rock! LOL  Wellllllll more fun and interesting stories to come for sure!

It’s back!!!  One of my girlfriends (Sue) brought me some of her rhubarb plants last summer and I’m soooo happy they came back! I was so shocked about how fast they grow!  I took this pic on April 1st.

I took this pic 9 days later!!  I swear if I stood there I’d be able to see them grow! Crazy!
