Sooooo I cannot believe how fast my house sold!! You hear stories about other people, but I didn’t expect it to happen to me! We listed around noon on Wednesday and stopped showing it on Friday at noon. I had 35 appointments for showings and had 16 offers!!!!! So crazy & what a blessing!! I’m under contract and we’ll be closing the middle of December . . . sooooo my Christmas cards may be late this year! LOL Thank you all for your prayers!!
LOL, I’m going through the deep dark crevices of my house in anticipation for “moving”!!! More on that later, no solid information just yet 😉 . . . anywho, I found my troll dolls!!! Oh my gosh, don’t they just put a smile on your face, LOL. And please take note of their handmade clothing, yes I did that when I was a kid. I guess “attention to detail” came at a young age for me – laughing – notice the handkerchief in her pocket – love my trolls!
Why is house hunting such a stressful process???? I need Chip & JoJo!!! I’ve been looking for a new place for a year now . . . remember that cute little yellow farmhouse? Yes, it’s been a year! Any who, I’ve seen several homes/fixer uppers over the last year and they’ve all had their issues. I can remember buying the home I’m in now and I love my home but I do remember the process and it just sucks the life out of you! Seems like it should be a happy thing looking for a place to start your next chapter in life. I imagine it’d be easier to just find a regular cookie cutter home but I don’t want a cookie cutter home. Sooooo I guess I’ll just press on, one day at a time!! Just help me remember to breathe!! 😉
I absolutely love these guys, Chip & Joanna Gaines from Waco, Texas. Such a cute & talented couple! They have their own farm called Magnolia Farms & their design business is called Magnolia Homes. I love the way they can take a dump (sometimes literally) and fix it up! I need a Chip Gaines!! Fun show to watch! Chip is the muscle and JoJo is the designer. They inspire me as I search for my own fixer upper. Still getting things done at my house – getting a new roof next week – thank you God for the last hail storm – lol. It was 20 years ago on Easter Sunday that I asked Jesus to enter my life. I had spent many years trying to make things happen on my own, and it was time to let go and Let God. One year later I found myself living in Colorado. I couldn’t have made “that” happen even if I tried, lol. I can see His hand in my life and the direction it’s taken. My home, my kids, my job, my health – all of it God inspired, God directed. I can still remember something Pastor Ron Carter said over 20 years at a church in Napa that I attended . . . “the difference between doubt & deliverance, is a slight turn of your heart”. Well I can honestly say – it’s TRUE. It didn’t seem like it at the time but that moment when I decided what the heck . . . why not give it all to HIM, in that moment – it changed me . . . not right away but over time it changed me. As I look back at where my life was 20 years ago and where I am today, I can say that I am a different person. Truly blessed and looking forward to the future! Happy Belated Easter!! 😉
During my trip to California this summer I found my “dream” jeans!! I’ve been wanting a pair of skinny jeans to wear with my flats or boots. Sherry & I were shopping at HomeGoods/TJMaxx in Reno and I found a pair by Nine West from their “Vintage America Collection”. Oh my word – they are so soft, comfortable and stretchy. They fit fabulously and they fit just below the waist with a “regular” zipper – not those 3″ zippers, LOL!! They looked so cute with my flats this summer & my boots for this winter. Couldn’t find another pair for the life of me . . . so I went to the internet! I found a website called herbergers.com and they had them . . . not only in stock but 25% off & FREE shipping!! Came in the mail today!! Yahooooo!
I’ve decided to put my kitchen re-do off until after Christmas. In just 3 weeks it will be Thanksgiving which means that I’ll be putting up my Christmas decorations. So I’ll probably collect a few more trinkets for my kitchen re-do and will keep you posted. Here are some of my recent purchases. I love my “Farmer’s Market” sign – the big black one in the back & I love my galvanized bucket!! I’ll use the “tree farm” side for Christmas and keep the pine cones in it . . . for the kitchen, I’ll turn it around (no printing on the opposite side) and probably put a bunch of apples in it? Most of my trinkets were purchased at Home Goods but the 2 white lanterns I found “marked down” this summer at Hobby Lobby!

Oh my word!! Love these tennies!!! I first found a pic of them on “Pinterest”. The link on pinterest took me to “Realtree” but they were sold out. I was reading some of the comments when I came across a phone number to “Realtree”. The message said they were sold out of their first 2 shipments but you could pre-order for the upcoming shipping in October, so I left a message with my number. Olivia is the woman whose number it was at Realtree and she actually called me back! Excellent customer service!! I ordered them the end of September and they came today!! Yahooo, toooo cute & soooo comfortable!
Four years ago I came across this exact same picture in an email from my friend Denise. Four years ago I lost my dad and Denise, at that time, had no idea how this picture had an impact on me. I was on Facebook this morning and another friend had this posted!!! Besides being the same exact picture, this is the same exact time of year that Denise sent it. I remember it because it was around the time of my birthday. Marsha do you remember?!?! For those of you that “really” know me . . . you get it!!!!! Hmmmmmmmm . . . .
