Here are some more pics of Miranda’s store in Lindale, Texas. Cute little town. Her store is in an old bank building on the corner of town. She also has her own wine label and 7 different varieties. At this point I believe it’s only sold in Texas – hopefully one day in Colorado. Our wine server was adorable – kept calling me ma’am – sooooo cute!! Love those country accents!! My first choice would normally be a Cabernet but their Merlot was crazy good! Very smooth, so I brought home 2 bottles to share with the girls . . . girls night on the horizon!! LOL . . . . more tomorrow.

Kitchen – Changing Photos
I have a few pics in my kitchen that I took in Italy (my Mediterranean theme). I’m replacing them with country photos. Here is a pic I took and enhanced it a bit by using “Snapseed” and “Over” (photo apps). “Snapseed” can change the look of your photos and with “Over” you can add your own verbage to your photos. Both apps can be downloaded from the Apple Store but this is the website for Snapseed’s FREE download . . . http://tinyurl.com/lyr3bbq.
So Cute & Seasonal
This is an ADORABLE little ceramic truck I “picked up” (LOL – get it . . . pick-up!) at . . . . wait for it . . . . YES, Home Goods!! I just fell in love with it. I’ve decided to change up my kitchen decor. I currently have an Italian/Mediterranean look and have decided to go for more of a country look. When I get all my ducks in a row . . . I will post before and after pics. It shouldn’t take too much time – paint color is staying the same – just accessories & the curtain over my window will change. Should be fun! I’ve already acquired some new trinkets! So back to my ceramic pick-up . . . I love the little trees that were attached in the bed of the truck but I’m not ready for Christmas just yet. I thought my little pick-up could be seasonal, trees in winter, pumpkins in fall, apples in summer . . . hmmm springtime? So I bought a small piece of fall garland that had a bunch of little pumpkins on it. Cut the trees out and replaced them with the pumpkins I cut off the garland . . . how stickin’ cute is that!!! (color is off in my pics – the pick-up is the color in the right pic)
Breckenridge Trip
My Texas bestie, Robin & I had a great time in Breckenridge. Perfect “girlfriend” trip, snow, chick-flicks, wine & great food. The weather was sunny and perfect on the drive up. When I took the off-ramp I couldn’t help but laugh . . . remembering when my cousins & sister came out to visit a few years ago. At the top of the off-ramp there’s a roundabout and in the roundabout there are a bunch of aspen trees and in the middle of the aspens is a huge bronze statue of an elk . . . my cousins, Marsha & Laura “made” me pull over (illegally) and they climbed up on the elk (illegally) and I took a picture of them! So crazy!! But I laughed as I drove by it!! Anywhooo . . . it snowed up there 2 of the days we were there, I never get tired of watching snow fall – just love it!! We went into town one of the days and went to lunch and did a little shopping. And Michele – I did find a treasure!!!
Still snowing . . .
Breckinridge, Colorado
They’re back . . .
Four years ago I came across this exact same picture in an email from my friend Denise. Four years ago I lost my dad and Denise, at that time, had no idea how this picture had an impact on me. I was on Facebook this morning and another friend had this posted!!! Besides being the same exact picture, this is the same exact time of year that Denise sent it. I remember it because it was around the time of my birthday. Marsha do you remember?!?! For those of you that “really” know me . . . you get it!!!!! Hmmmmmmmm . . . .
Fruit Flies
I found this on Pinterest and actually tried it!! I had left some of my peaches out on the counter and I didn’t realize one of them had a “bad” spot. Needless to say there was a swarm of fruit flies sitting on it the next morning . . . makes me itch thinking about it!! I just put the liquid in a small shallow bowl with no lid and it worked like a charm!!!
1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
2 drops Dish Soap
