Ok, soooo you may not be able to tell much of a difference in these pics but it does look better! Old wood is old wood but it’s better looking old wood now. My lady friends will appreciate my analogy: Tan cellulite looks better than white cellulite!! LOL 😉
P.S. I loveeee Behr paint and this stain would be awesome on new wood!! The color is coffee.
Yesssss it’s been awhile! I tried this Baked Greek Chicken recipe last week & loved it! Of course, I found it on Pinterest! It’s been so hot here lately that I didn’t want to turn the oven on again, so I decided to use the seasoning as a rub & grill – very yummy as well!
Here’s the recipe for making your own Greek Seasoning- makes 1/2 cup:
1 TB & 1 tsp oregano 1 TB onion powder 1 TB garlic powder 1/2 tsp salt 2 tsp dried parsley 2 tsp paprika 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp thymeHeat oven to 350 degrees. Coat your baking dish with olive oil. Place chicken in dish and drizzle with coconut oil or olive oil. Sprinkle with Greek Seasoning, squeeze some lemon juice over the top and back for 30-40 minutes. If you decide to grill – lightly coat your chicken with oil, rub on your seasoning, squeeze some lemon and grill. YUM

I called Animal Control yesterday about my Raccoon issue – it would cost me $200 to relocate him/her or $200 to send him/her to Raccoon heaven. Sooooo for now I’ll be trying my “Critter Ridder”! Wish me luck!! 😉
I think I have a raccoon living under my deck!! A couple years ago I noticed a hole in the lattice work at the end of my deck. I blocked it up with some bricks and that was the end of that! A few days ago I saw that the lattice was TORE up, bricks moved and a BIG whole!! It’s got to be a raccoon right?! Or a small human- LOL! I’ll be called animal control! I wonder if they handles this??? We’ll see . . .

Sooooo technically there is no “update”! I have decided to NOT use either Deckover or Deck Repair. A friend of mine used the Rustoleum product last year and this summer it’s peeling off. I decided to just stain it – it will look more refreshed – well as refreshed as and OLD deck can look. Over the weekend I used Olympic Deck Cleaner, powerwashed it and bought the new stain. I’m stuck at a standstill!! Me vs. the weather and the weather is winning. I need a rain-free 24 hour period and so far that’s not happening! Ugh (This pic is before the deck cleaner & power wash – wanted you to see how bad is looks!) Can only go up from here, right!?
The Benson family came by my office yesterday! Love seeing them (and showing them off at work!). I had given Owen a certificate for a “lunch of his choice” for his graduation from kindergarten and he was ready to cash it in. After much conversation, he decided on Buffalo Wild Wings and he said “Grammy, I like wings hot!”. That kid cracks me up, in the middle of his hot wings he says, “this place is off the hook!” LOL . . . . by the way, he does his own hair and is loving mohawks and his hair gel! Mr. Handsome 😉
