Chandelier Update

Standard

Soooooo I decided to take apart as much as I could and give it a good “Brasso” cleaning.  I removed all the crystals (cleaned the brass wires on the crystals with a q-tip) and polished all the body parts with a toothbrush.  I found a company online in Connecticut – grandbrass.com – they specialize in lamp parts.  I ordered a few new crystals and some new socket sleeves.  Excellent service if you need anything.  After cleaning it and replacing some parts I DIDN’T want to put it back in the box soooooo I had to put it up!!! Only place to put it for now was in my basement – LOL and I love it down there!!!!!

Amie was “Maid of Honor” in one of her besties weddings this weekend.  We were up at the Sunspot Lodge in Winter Park for Laura & Travis’ wedding and it was beautiful.  Wedding was outside on the deck and the reception was inside the Lodge.  We had to take the ski lift to get up there! Gorgeous views!!

Did you know?

When I had my granite put in several years ago I bought this new faucet by American Standard at Home Depot.  The faucet started leaking a couple weeks ago.  I found the model online and called them because I wasn’t sure what parts I needed to replace.  Did you know that if you are the original owner they will replace any parts for free!!!! Buy American Standard! 😉

ChandelierI have a couple of girlfriends, Annette & Bonnie, that I get together with once a month.  We have a standing dinner date the last Tuesday of every month and I’ve known them for over 15 years! This last Tuesday night Annette cooked pasta for us and it was delicious! She makes her own sauce and it was soooo good! So anywho,  she had been given a new light fixture for her formal dinning room and had taken down her old chandelier and stuck it in a box in her garage and now it’s on my family room floor!!!! Oh my gosh!! I love it!!! She wanted to “pay it forward” so she gifted it to me!!  It will be the first project in my new farmhouse and I’ll have to decide to hang it over my farmhouse table, the guest room or my claw foot tub!! LOL (no I haven’t found it YET and no I don’t have a claw foot tub! but still looking)  Thanks Annette!!!!!!!!!! 😉

I found this recipe on Pinterest and these are her pics because mine would have looked exactly the same! LOL  These are super easy to make and very yummy!!! I think I’ll just add a little less salt next time.  I did get the seeds out but couldn’t get all the ribs out.

Stuffed Mini Sweet Peppers

1 lb. mini sweet peppers (about 22-24 peppers)
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 t garlic powder
1 t seasoned salt
1 1/2 C shredded, sharp cheddar cheese
5 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Preheat oven to 350℉. Lightly spray a muffin tin with cooking spray.

To prepare your peppers, slice off the tops/stems of each pepper and carefully clean out the seeds and ribs inside. Next, thoroughly mix your cream cheese, garlic powder, seasoned salt, shredded cheddar and bacon. Generously spoon your cream cheese mixture into each pepper and place your peppers into your muffin tin. Place peppers into the oven and bake for 20 minutes. Remove peppers from the oven, plate and serve.
I wasn’t able to add the link to her website but it’s “fromwhichthingsgrow.blogspot.com” then click on “chew on this”.  She has some great looking recipes!
