Spray paint is your friend and they have great colors out these days.  Spray paint is such an inexpensive way to change the look of just about anything.  Amie & Matthew’s Wedding colors are Navy & Coral with touches of gold, burlap & sunflowers.  We found these little pre-cut tags at Michaels for about 60 cents a piece.  I have to say, I do love posting these cute projects but leaving the details as a surprise, so no, I can’t tell you what they’re for.  🙂

I found these lanterns clearanced at Lowe’s a few years ago at the end of summer, only 75cents each! So knowing at some point and time I’d use them I bought about a dozen.  The time has come, lol, wedding project.  I bought the premade burlap bows at Hobby Lobby $2.99 ea. and the flowers at Joanne’s, sunflowers $3.60 (40% off price) and the little white flowers $2.99 (not on sale).  A little hot glue and voila!! Per lantern – flowers .82 cents, bow $2.99, lantern .75 cents = $4.56 each!!! I love a good bargain and super cute!! 🙂

Tree Trimming

I decided to have a tree service come out & clean up some of my old trees.  I’ve never owned a home with trees as old as these and they’re beautiful.  I love big ol’ trees, they have such character.  Well these were over grown and have never been trimmed.  Some huge branches hung over the neighbors house so I wanted those cut off – heavy snow on tree branches can be a scary thing.  I found this company – Rom-Sons Tree Services & they did an outstanding job for a fair price.  I even had them take some tree stumps out & they pulled out those ugly junipers in front of the house along with the 1/2 dead juniper bush.  I asked them to leave the stump back by the huge tree on the side of the barn yard – it’s going to be a mushroom stool for the grandkids & Jason and I are going to build a “kinda” tree house around that tree! Now I just have to dig out that old satellite dish@@ Here is the website for Rom-Sons – I highly recommend them – excellent service, friendly and cleaned up everything when they were done: http://romsonstree.com

“Michaels” carries these great “cut-outs” and Amie and I thought we (I) could make some signs for her wedding.  We’re going to use them like chalkboards, kinda-sorta.  I spray painted the trim color, then taped off the inside to spray black, super simple!  I used satin spray paint for both colors.  Just added some burlap ribbon & a sunflower – spray paint and hot glue guns are my friend! 😉
