Old pic – after the porch was built last year.

Porch pergola is finally painted – just need to paint the deck boards and add the trim to the bottom.

Anddddd just in time for the 4th!! I got “Old Glory” up – Happy 4th of July!!

I finished putting the supports in that I wanted for the bar top. I had some leftover fence picket scraps from my neighbor so I cut those down a tad and nailed them in for my top shelf storage. The scraps weren’t long enough for the bottom shelf (bottom shelf is bigger) so off to Lowe’s I go for some fence pickets.

I have a ton of small scraps of pressure treated wood from my deck so I used those for the sides and I added the casters.

Painted the sides with my favorite Behr Fence & Barn Paint. The size of the outdoor kitchen/bar counter was dependent on my metal scraps I took down from the garden area. Putting 2 together was 75″ wide so that’s the width I went with because then I only had to cut that metal once for the height. I hate cutting that stuff – sparks everywhere butttt the blade I use does cut like butter! LOL

Road trip to visit with Auntie Amie & Uncle Matthew . . . and a little shopping at Vintage Market Days!

Waiting for our homemade chocolate mint ice cream to be ready! (in the Cuisinart above her head – she wanted to be close by, lol)

Chia seeds & wheat germ butterfly garden project!

Helping me water with our new little watering can we bought at Vintage Market Days.

She loves the chalkboard.

Needing to cool off – it’s been in the high 90’s and even hitting 101 degrees today!

Enjoying our ice cream – when she picked out the “mini” cones I didn’t realize how “mini” they actually were! Perfect for portion control, lol.

We had a great week together – now I need a nap! LOL

Oh my word! Belley and I are going to spend some quality time together this week soooooo only a good Grammie would get special snacks for her visit, right?! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw these, LOL!!! First I don’t even remember the last time I had a Twinkie! Second – covered in chocolate!!!! NEVER . . . I’ll update you on the experience. 😉

7 days from planting and they are sprouting right on schedule . . . watermelon plant still looking good (it’s at the end of the drip hose)! Kinda hard to tell the watermelon plant vs. the weeds, lol.

I’ve begun the process of making my outdoor kitchen/bar counter & storage.

I decided to make a 20″ counter space + 12″ more for overhang. The length is 75″.

Feel free to zoom in – lol – not bad for a rookie! and FYI the concrete does have a slight slant for drainage.

Not to shabby – It’s upside down – I need to put casters on it before I tip it right side up and add a couple more counter top supports. That’s it for now
– updates as progress continues. 😉

I just love that little pig planter I found at Home Goods last year, so darn cute. I decided to try some Zinnias this year.

Seriously – too cute?!!

I rescued this Knock Out Rose bush from the clearance section at Lowe’s a couple of weeks ago. I’ve never planted or had a rose bush but these are suppose to be pretty maintenance free. I certainly hope so!

Finally got it in the ground over the weekend. I noticed a couple of rose buds this morning when I was watering it! Yahoo

Finally had time to plant my pumpkin seeds! I found a cute little watermelon plant so I put that at the end of the row. That will be awesome if it works! LOL

Don’t let the size fool you! It’s the absolute perfect amount of delicious, yumminess!! THICK Dove dark chocolate shell and yummmmmy raspberry sorbet!!! ONLY 150 calories – the perfect treat! If you love dark chocolate and raspberry you will NOT be disappointed!! 😉
