Did you know that the Dollar Store (now the $1.25 Dollar Store, lol) has hard back books? I’m not much of a reader, my daughter picked up that gift of reading from her Grandmother, but I do love using books as decor. So, I’ll occasionally check out the Dollar Store when I’m wanting specific colors and I was looking for a little Red, White & Blue. Usually the Book Jackets are not what I’m looking for – I normally will remove the jackets to see what color the book actually is.

Voila – exactly what I was looking for! I spent a total of $5, a smallllll price considering the cost of Vintage Books. If you prefer the tattered look, I suppose you could take some light grit sand paper to the edges of the covers?
