Homemade Chili
1 lb. hamburger 1/2 onion chopped 1 can tomato sauce 14.5 oz 1 can diced tomatoes 14.5 oz 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon oregano 1/2 TBS cumin 1 TBS chili powder 1 can kidney beans – rinse & drain1 can pinto beans – rinse & drain
Brown meat – drain – add all ingredients except the beans. Cover and simmer on low 30 minutes. Add beans, simmer another 20 minutes (I normally let it go for an hour or more). Garnish with shredded cheese & sour cream!! Adding saltines or Frito chips – a must!
