Ok, soooo I could use your help. My bedroom is pink “Blush” with red curtains and red accents, like a Vintage Valentine. 😉 This door leads to my old closet and into my new master bathroom which is a “Sea Glass” color. My dilemma: should I paint the old closet “Sea Glass” and tile the floor the same as the bathroom or paint it “Blush” and extend the wood flooring from the bedroom into the old closet? That is a step-down from the closet to the new bathroom and I still need to trim out the doorway. The current door will eventually come off and I’ll be adding a sliding barn door. The current flooring in the old closet is old linoleum over the subfloor and that’s just a piece of carpet laying there for now.

I’d love for you to leave me a comment here with your opinion! And P.S. is that not the cutest stinkin’ pig picture or WHAT!!!??? FYI – Kirklands 😉

I think since there is a step down the old closet belongs to the new bath and should be painted and floored just like the master bath. LOVE THE PIGGY!!

My vote would be to continue the bedroom color and flooring into the old closet space. Once you step down your tranistioning into the bathroom space and the new/different color & flooring. Because the sight line from bedroom to bathroom and bathroom to bedroom stops at the old closet space I think it would look better.

One idea: How about continue the wood flooring as it seems more a continuation of the bedroom, but paint it a transition color like an off white. Love the sliding barn door idea.
