Fresh berries are in season and there is nothing like berries & shortcake! I am an absolute fan of the shortcake recipe on the “Bisquick” box. They are soft and cakey on the inside with just a bit of crunch on the outside. Fresh berries, a little sugar and some whipping creme – yummmmmmmmmmmmmm!! Make some this weekend!! (I usually just half this recipe for myself, makes 2 large shortcakes). Andddd yes, that is one of my cute bowls from Homegoods!! LOL
Bisquick Shortcakes
2 1/3 cups Original Bisquick® mix 1/2 cup milk 3 tablespoons sugar 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted Sweetened sliced berries & whipping cream Heat oven to 425 degrees. Mix bisquick, milk, sugar & butter together – I use a fork. Drop by tablespoon & bake for about 10 minutes.
I agree totally! I have a scratch recipe of my mom’s that I love but this is so much easier.
